Richard
D'Agostino, was born in Detroit, Michigan, where
he graduated from Highland Park Junior College, attended
Detroit Institute of Technology, Detroit
Institute of Arts and later the University of Hawaii.
He began writing with an idea for a novel in 1989 while living
in Hawaii. His first novel was finished in Florida in ninety
four, where his taste and skill for writing progressed in
earnest. His first novel was Scandal Dance. As a result of
that work, he received further encouragement from author,
editor, professor and agent Esther Gordon. Scandal Dance was
published by 1st books on the internet in the mid nineties.
Richard's latest novel, Rite
of Passage, was written with
zeal, following a lifelong fascination with the mythology,
culture and beauty of ancient Egypt, through study and tour.
And now with five novels, a half-dozen complimentary letters
from publishers and a three-inch stack of
rejection letters, Richard continues to write for the love
of the craft. He now lives in Florida, having grown weary
of frosty windows, absence of sunlight and sloshing about
in subzero temperatures.
