Congratulations
to Marjorie Jones
for winning the Isolde Carlson Award for Excellence
in Writing & The
2005 Utah Writer of the Year!
"Romance is more than fantasy," stated Marjorie
recently. "Romance is hope. It's a place we can go
to be all of the things the world has told us not to dream
for."
Marjorie
Jones has been writing since she formed her first coherent
sentence. She fell in love with characters like Peter, Susan,
Edmond
and Lucy of The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis (she planned
to marry Prince Caspian before she met her real hero) and
never looked back.
Discovering
romance novels at the tender age of 16, she penned her first
complete novel at the age
of 19. Her works encompass historical, contemporary and
paranormal romance.
Married to Keith for nearly 17 years, she is the mother of
three children. Her eldest son currently serves in the United
States Navy, while her two daughters attend Junior High and
High School.
Originally hailing from Virginia Beach, Virginia, she makes
her home now in the panoramic desert community of Price, Utah
with her husband, daughters, two horses and two of the most
uppity, do-not-cross-this-line tom-cats in the history of
the world.
