 Tracy
Cooper-Posey has spent the last two decades writing escapist
drama -- romances, fantasies, mysteries, science fiction,
paranormal, and every combination of those you can come up
with -- and loving it. She blames it all on George Lucas.
If she hadn't been hooked, totally and completely, by Star
Wars, would she be writing today? Tracy doesn't think she
wants to know the answer, because writing has pretty much
shaped her entire life.
When she was still living in Australia, she met the man who
would become her husband, on an on-line screenwriting discussion
group. A year later, she sold everything and moved herself
and her two children to Canada to be with him and his two
children. Now, that's something she is sure wouldn't have
happened if she wasn't a writer.
Tracy has also spent a couple of years as the managing editor
of a regional magazine, and got that job because of her writing.
Currently, her writing supports her entire family, and that's
something she wouldn't trade for anything else: Tracy gets
to do what she loves and gets paid for it. How much better
can it get?
