Charles
W. Sasser has been a full-time freelance writer/journalist/photographer
since 1979. He is a veteran of both the U.S. Navy (journalist)
and U.S. Army (Special Forces, the Green Berets), a combat
veteran, and former combat correspondent wounded in action.
He also served fourteen years as a police officer (in Miami,
Florida, and in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he was a homicide detective).
He has taught at universities, lectured nationwide, and traveled
extensively throughout the world. His bio is included in Who's
Who In America and Who's Who In The World. In
1985-86, he was a finalist competing to fly into space with
NASA's Journalist
In Space Project.
He
is author of nearly 50 published books, reprinted in several
different languages, including Spanish,
French, German, Russian, and Chinese, and has published
more than 2,500 magazine articles and short stories. He
lives and
writes on a ranch near Chouteau, Oklahoma, with wife Donna
Sue, where he rears and trains registered quarter horses.
