Jerry
Yang, the 2007 World Series of Poker Main
Event champion, is a psychologist and former social worker. A
graduate of Pacific Union College, with a master’s degree
in health psychology from Loma Linda University, Jerry worked
with at-risk children for several years in southern California.
After winning over eight million dollars at the WSOP, Jerry promptly
donated over eight hundred thousand dollars of his winnings to
Make a Wish, Ronald McDonald House, and Feed the Children. In
the year following his victory, he raised another seven hundred
thousand dollars through his charity poker events. Married and
a father of six, Jerry resides near Fresno, California. All
