How strict are the submission guidelines on your Web
site?
A. Very.
Please adhere to them specifically if you wish your
manuscript to be read. Any diversion from our guidelines
will automatically cancel out a submission. This includes

state the word count and genre of any submission in the
subject line of your query e-mail. -top-
Q.
If I have a book that is under 80,000 words, can I
submit it?
A. See the
answer to the above question. -top-
Q. May I send a submission to Medallion Press and another
publisher at the same time?
A. Sure, but we would like to be told that someone
else is reading your work. Also, if you

something elsewhere, please let us know. -top-
Q.
May I send multiple submissions to Medallion Press?
A. Certainly.
However, please query one at a time. Do not

A. It
will depend on how many other manuscripts and submissions
we have, though you should expect a response within four
to six months.
-top-
Q. How long will it take to receive a response after a full
manuscript has been
requested and sent in?
A. Again

Q.
What are Medallion Press’ contract terms?
A. Our contract
terms are confidential and only revealed at the time
a contract is offered on a book. We do not disclose
this information to authors or agents unless we have a
project
under consideration. We can tell you that we offer competitive
royalties and our contracts are standard in the industry. -top-
Q. I am
a published author with a manuscript I’d like
to send, or I am an agent representing a published author.
What are your advances?
A. All advances are confidential. The amount of the advance
depends on a number of factors, such as whether you’re
a first-time author or an established author. We offer
competitive advances and royalty percentages. This allows
each author
the opportunity to earn back the advance and begin earning
royalties quicker. Our goal as a publisher is to present
a reasonable advance that can be earned back so both the
publisher
and author benefit equally from the contract. -top-
